    I like that idea of having poles out on the building's footprint in the world. That will make it much easier to design settlements to make sure everything is setup right before the hard work of harvesting and building begins. It might even be better if we can finish the design on the house at a later stage so we could first determine building layout, then later where the doors and windows are so that everything is organized very conveniently.

    This is very interesting. The game almost seems finished at this point but I know plenty more is required to call it ready for community testing.
    In my experience, NOTHING is as simple as it seems when it comes to programming. I'm no professional, but I know some stuff.

    Will foundations allowed to be buried so we have basements underground?

    Foundations are going to be partially buried (required) but we're not clipping out the terrain underneath so the answer to basements as of right now is no.

    That and instanced basements would cause unnecessary lag, wouldn't they? Also, keep up the work guys... You are getting so close! :D

    Not with Occlusion, which prevents unnecessary draw calls from being made.
