    Interesting. Are you ray casting from AI's heads so they only see what's in front of them? Or is it a sort of ambient perception?

    Can dragon hatchlings disguise themselves with leaves, mud, etc., to lower the chance they will be detected? Calling dibs on the hatchling rogue class. ;)

    I was looking at the Raycast API, wonder if each actor could generate a disabled Collision sphere acting as a "stealth layer." Raycast and filter out all but that layer, if it hits the actor detects. The components stealth layer could be dynamically sized based on the conditions as mentioned in the post.

    *shrug* afternoon thoughts on a topic I'm vastly unqualified to speak to hehehe

    Whoa, didn't you get here a very short while ago AnimLouis? Glad to see you're already contributing so much, and congrats on getting to be a part of such a terrific team.

    I read this earlier but didn't have time to post, but I've been anticipating every dev blog because of how fun it is to read them, not going to lie. Really liking the concept of stealth so far!

    Yeah he did get here recently, but as Forged Chaos has been needing animators for a while now they obviously reeled him in fast.

    Yeh that whole AI system sounds pretty sweet. I like how all the factors from your gear to your movement effect detection. I really look forword to seeing the different states of the animals.
    I like the use of both player movement and gear with the AI's state and orientation to calculate a reaction.

    Will gear make different noises that reflect their stealth ratings? so clothing very little rustling from movement, to plate that makes a dull clunk audible from metres away.
